Showcasing Resales at the IFE

National Brands Carvel, Shoney’s and Cartridge World were represented at a ‘Sold Out’ seminar on ‘The benefits of buying a franchise resale.” Each franchisor in turn explained how this vital area in the franchise life cycle is handled in their networks how they help their exiting and new franchisees through the transfer process. It also highlighted how franchisees have the ability to buy into established brands with existing cash flow.

The panel of franchisors highlighted how you can take advantage and enter a National brand network by buying a turnkey established business, which includes all the training and support of a new franchisee. How a buyer can benefit from existing sales and leverage existing vendors and relationships. Many attendees found new interest in franchise brands that they thought were impossible to get in to in their markets and felt a franchise resale opened an entirely new world of possibility for them.

People often get the idea that the only way to own a franchise is to start one from scratch, but nowadays, thousands of existing, successful franchises, are for sale. This provides the new franchisee buyers an unmatched opportunity to ‘hit the ground running.’ And start doing business right away.  After the seminar attendees we able to browse the Franchise REsales wall on the show floor to find suitable franchise businesses for sale in their location.

“A packed room of prospective franchisees enthused at how one could start doing business right away when buying an existing franchise. Feedback and questions from the audience was great and insightful and many said how much they benefited. As the moderator it was so good to hear serious candidates benefiting from hearing the Franchisor speakers. For many the seminar gave them clear direction on the next steps in buying an existing business, which in most cases was their preferred choice”. Said Johnny Sellyn, FranchiseREsales.com who was moderating the seminar.

“There was a great response to this seminar on Franchise REsales. The room was full and the candidates were engaged, provided quality questions and were eager to learn more about REsales. The partners on the panel were very professional and added to the knowledge we were able to give the attendees. After the session I was approached by many, who expressed their thanks for the relevant topic, the material, and the way we were able to present It”. Greg Carafello . Cartridge World

“Being on the REsales panel was a great opportunity to meet potential franchise candidates who are currently seeking opportunities and are doing their due diligence to make a sound decision. My job as the director of development is to be completely transparent and provide all of the information about out opportunity to potential partners so that they understand the model and can make good choices. The breakout sessions pair industry leaders with potential candidates and provide a vast amount of information on a variety of industries. There was also a Q & A session which gives attendees the opportunity to ask specific questions on topics or situations that were not presented. Knowledge is power and the sessions were interesting, insightful and engaging. I am currently discussing opportunities with a few of the people who attended the REsales presentation and are interested in my brand”. Terri Harof, Shoney’s

“Thank you for inviting me to participate in the franchise resale seminar at the IFE in NYC recently. I was honored to be included.
This was a great experience for me as a presenter and it was well received by the attendees. The value for me was in listening to very good questions from potential buyers and learning their biggest concerns. This helps our brand to be more helpful through the transfer process.
I also received a wealth of knowledge from the other two presenters. Greg and Terri are true professionals with long successful track records in franchising.

The entire seminar helped me to understand where we are on track and where we can improve”. Jeff Panella, Wireless Zone
