What is a Discovery Day?
'Discovery Day', also known as 'Meet The Team Day', is one of the last steps in the discovery process and is normally held at the Franchisor's home office, although some franchisor offer virtual Discovery Days. Prior to attending Discovery Day, the prospective franchise has normally completed all the due diligence required to know that this is a proven franchise system that fits their objectives.
The primary purpose of Discovery Day is to get acquainted with management team and make sure that everyone feels comfortable that you will have a strong, positive working relationship. It also signals that the franchisor is serious about offering the prospective franchise the opportunity to join the community of franchisees. Usually a person is not invited unless franchise development reps have screened the applicant’s credit history and background and have pre-approved the candidate for the franchise.
