The Home Care Franchise Industry
Our Industry Is Growing Quickly
As the population of our country grows, so does the need for quality care for the elderly, disabled, and people with illnesses and injuries. Over the years, non-medical in-home care has become more common as an alternative to nursing homes and assisted living facilities. As our industry continues to grow, Griswold Home Care is there to fill the need. Our senior home care franchise is uniquely positioned to provide the quality, compassionate home care many families are looking for.
Prior to the founding of Griswold Home Care, non-medical home care franchising was nonexistent. Today, our industry brings in over $89 billion in revenues annually, and new brands with catchy names are vying for market share. Griswold stands above the pack for several reasons, but mostly because our name is something tangible and true. We are named after Jean Griswold, who devoted her entire life to caring for those in her community who needed it most. She lived every day with compassion, empathy, and kindness, and that is exactly what continues to drive our company and the services we provide.
A History of Excellence
No brand has a history like Griswold Home Care, and no brand has a brighter future ahead of them. Our franchisees have excelled in the home care space by staying true to the core of who we are for almost four decades. We’ve modernized our franchise system to stay ahead of the competition and remain competitive in the 21st-century economy. We equip our franchisees with everything they need to grow their business and stay competitive. No one can match the level of care we provide to each of our clients.
More Seniors Need Us Today Than Ever Before
The numbers don’t lie. By the year 2030, AARP reports that about 20% of the population will be 65 years old or older. In fact, every day, 10,000 people in the United States turn 65. That number is only going to rise, as will the need for our brand of convenient, compassionate care.
The Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA) has reported there will be 27 million people in need of long-term care by the year 2050. That’s double the number who required these services in 2000. These statistics, and others, tells you all you need to know about the future of our industry. Our clients have come to know us for the exceptional care we provide their loved ones and we look forward to continuing to go above and beyond for families across the country.
Exceptional Care for Adults with Illnesses & Disabilities
At Griswold Home Care, we realize that seniors are not the only ones who require attentive home care. The Family Caregiver Alliance states that nearly 4 million people requiring assistance are below the age of 65, and this number continues to rise. There are a variety of reasons why people require daily assistance and we want to be there to assist anyone in need.
Some additional statistics:
- The United States Census reports that one in every five Americans lives with a disability
- The National Service Project reports that an estimated 24.1 million people live with a severe disability and over 34 million live with a functional limitation
So many of these people require the type of care we provide, and we are determined to assist them.
We Provide Our Home Care Franchisees with Everything They Need
In order to ensure the best care for our clients – and success for our franchise owners – we need to fully prepare them to succeed from the very first day. That’s why at Griswold Home Care, we offer our new franchisees extensive training programs and unrivaled ongoing support. Our success is dependent on your success. We are in this together and will be there to support you every step of the way.
Initial Management Training
Our management training is broken down into initial training and ongoing training. Our initial management training at our Home Care Academy includes world-class, comprehensive training on everything you need to start your new business. This includes tried-and-true processes for all revenue-generating points of both the client and caregiver journey, including:
- Lead generation
This training is uniquely designed to get your office generating revenue as quickly as possible and minimize the “days to dollars”. It lasts 12 weeks, is adult-learner focused, and consists of a blend of in-person and virtual classrooms, field experience, and self-guided learning.
Our initial training will be tailored specifically to each new franchise owner.
Ongoing Management Training
Our ongoing training is through our Griswold University and includes regular system-wide webinars led by subject matter experts on various, timely topics needed to run and grow your business. For new staff, we offer regular in-person or virtual training that is role-specific.
At our annual National Conference, we offer the opportunity to learn from home care industry experts, thought leaders, and your franchise peers on topics critical to your business. We also provide access to a nation-wide forum to exchange ideas, opportunities, and success stories with other Griswold Home Care franchisees. One-on-one training support is also available if needed.
Our ongoing support includes everything from localized marketing materials, which can be edited if needed, to in-house graphic designers. There are a lot of moving parts to your new business, and we make sure not only that every base is covered, but that everyone is fully prepared to handle all the responsibilities that come with entrepreneurship.
If needed, we offer grand opening support, which is when an operations manager assists new franchise owners for the first week upon opening.
